Christians Shortchange Themselves and God

(Watch 6-minute excerpt) The week prior, Jesse urged people to “test the spirit,” meaning that they should not believe any thought. Thoughts are not based in reality, the present.

Popular Christian television host Sid Roth interviewed a former atheist who became a healer. Jesse used to lay hands on people to heal them, but Satan scared him out of it when he was a young man. Most don’t think of healing the sick. But we have the power and authority as children of God; due to lack of faith, we live like the children of darkness. Jesus healed possessed people.

Many Christians claim you cannot be perfect. The Bible says to be perfect as the father is perfect. In Matthew 5:43-48, Jesus said to love your enemy and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be children of your father in heaven. God causes his sun to rise on the righteous and the wicked. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Even the tax collectors and gentiles do that. Set no bounds to your love, just as your heavenly father sets none to his.
