Domestic Violence, Adultery and Broken Marriage

(Watch 5-minute excerpt) At church, people shared their life issues. One woman talked about her cowardice, abuse she’s suffered, and fear of her current husband. Jesse told her that she can only develop courage by doing the things she should do.

Another woman could not bring herself to show love toward a difficult coworker, who was the bigger person and offered to talk things through. Yet another woman said her anger flared up so badly that she picked up a knife with the thought to kill someone.

Jesse said that parents do not love their children. And this has been going on for generations.

One man uses Jesse’s silent prayer instructions and he finds himself “surfing” through life, handling situations right. He showed his father our church video from last week, in which this man shared how he reconciled with his father after wrongdoing.

Another man admitted he was wrong to enter a second marriage. He had kids from his first marriage, and thought a divorced woman also with kids would be a good wife. Jesse explained that it is selfish for men and women to remarry, that the woman’s kids need their father, and his kids need him. Jesse urged him to abstain from sex so that he can see clearly and unemotionally.
