Church with Jesse Lee Peterson

We had an interesting discussion about people who are late. Many people admitted to showing up late at times. One man said he felt embarrassed to admit it, because it shows a lack of discipline and respect. Jesse urged that people try out being on-time. One man brought up that we are “late” with God, we do not pray unless we feel trouble. We should seek God first and early, before the sun rises.

We also talked about worry — why Jesus told us not to worry — this was Jesse’s biblical question on his radio show this past week. Some said they only worry at times, but not a lot. But Jesus said that we should not worry at all, and not make excuses for worrying or being angry only “sometimes.” Jesse explained that anger is the nature of Satan, and that worry in a mother will destroy a child. Christ said we should let our yes be yes, and our no, no. Anything else is a lie — people who make excuses make up lies.
