Joel Friday is sitting in for Jesse; he tells the story of his uncle introducing him to Jesse’s videos. He came to a Men’s Forum, and then to Church, because Jesse’s message about anger intrigued him. Although he knew one should speak up and deal with issues, he thought he was crazy, because nobody else thought that way. 

11:16 Joel says he started to see Jesse as a superhero. He started preaching “the word” that Jesse says to people. “Go forgive your mother,” etc. But the greatest thing changed for him. As he was around JLP, he saw he was a human being, too. He’d have places where he’d disagree with Jesse, but would assume Jesse’s right without seeing for himself.

Joel invites feedback from a few people about disagreement and thinking for themselves. 

(11:45) Joel talks about witnessing people becoming “Jesse thumpers,” and how Christianity has become fake and tired for people. Christians are judgmental, so people are becoming Muslim. Who are we to help people?
