New Year’s Church with Jesse Lee Peterson

(Watch 4-minute excerpt) Jesse asked people if they pray. Most people do not pray without ceasing, but we should. One man said that he only prays once per day, at night. He has trouble waking up in the mornings. He admitted that he could benefit from praying twice per day. Jesse encouraged him to pray to prepare for the troubles of the day. At night you only have to deal with demons while you sleep.

Our theme this year is, “Do not let the left hand know what the right is doing.”

Do not hold onto anything — anything you learn, think or experience. Be an empty vessel, or half-full vessel, and allow room for God to fill you and lead you. When you give, let it be between you and God, and the person to whom you’re giving. But more than that, do not cling to any thought, so that Satan cannot take what you “learn” that’s right, and twist it and use it against you.

Jesse showed people how to pray silently, and had the people do it later in the service.

(During the live service some people watching online chatted on YouTube, offering New Year’s greetings from around the country as well as Canada and Russia! One person from Russia said, “I was really fortunate to find Jesse on YouTube. Can’t say I’m a religious person, but there’s so much in his words that resonated with what’s inside of me.” Another person chatted, “I am from Canada and I have stumbled onto Jesse, and I would like to just say that I really appreciate everything you guys do, and Jesse has changed my life for the better. Please keep spreading Jesse’s work — it’s amazing. Thank you!”)
