22 Feb Some Will Hear the Truth; Some Will NOT
We held our monthly Men’s Forum February 9, at 7pm, here at BOND. Jesse reported about it the next morning on his radio show. Jesse remarked that many young men are truly seeking the truth, while others are not.
We have a growing number of enthusiastic newcomers each month. Some who’ve been attending Church and Men’s Forums for a while now have become devoted regulars, and bring new guys themselves.
One black 25-year-old guy first saw Jesse on a Church video, which his uncle showed him during their Bible study. He then watched a hundred videos on our YouTube channel! When he knew Jesse was real, he took the trek out here. He discussed with everyone a little about his life, and it was amazing.
A street preacher joined us. Another young man brought a couple of new guys from San Diego. One man is getting married soon, and we all congratulated him (although one guy had a funny reaction, “Whoa!”).
Guys talked about relationships, family issues, resentment, and moral dilemmas. People stayed for quite a while after we wrapped up to talk.
In the video, Jesse also mentioned our recent Church service, “Was Jesus ANGRY?” (Feb 5, ’17), to make the point that there is no peace in anger, although many Christians defend anger as okay to have. Jesse has welcomed conversations about this, questions and disagreements, on his radio show as well as at church. If you have questions, comments or disagreements, we hope you’ll talk with Jesse in these formats, for everyone’s benefit.
To the men, we hope you’ll join us for the upcoming Men’s Forum very soon.
To all people, if you support what we’re about, please donate, and tell others about Jesse’s work through BOND. If you haven’t already, do buy, read, and review The Antidote: Healing America from the Poison of Hate, Blame and Victimhood.
