On Tuesday, May 5th, BOND (Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny), is participating in #GivingTuesdayNow, in response to the unprecedented need to help families during the COVID-19 pandemic. With that goal, we would like to share with you why BOND is needed now more than ever.

The American family is vanishing. According to a new Wall Street Journal report, the US marriage rate has dropped to lowest level on record in over 150 years. And nearly half of America's kids are born out of wedlock! The marriage rate fell 6% in 2018, with 6.5 unions for every 1,000 people, according to the National Center for Health Statistics report. The report reflects how economic insecurity and changing norms are eroding marriage.

On Sunday, February 9th, BOND, the Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny, turned 30 years old! Founded by Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, BOND has been “Rebuilding the Family by Rebuilding the Man” since 1990. "I am grateful to everyone who has been helping us so we can help others," said Jesse Lee Peterson. BOND hosted an excellent couple’s seminar on Saturday in Los Angeles, April 6, 2019. Couples of all ages from across Southern California and Nevada attended the seminar.

I recently talked to several audiences in northern California on my “Rebuilding the Man Tour.” God was with us. (Thank you to Madera County Supervisor Rick Farinelli and his staff for making the events possible.) At a juvenile detention center, I spoke with boys who went through hell at home – most raised without fathers by drug-addicted mothers, all starved for their fathers’ love. Children need their parents – good parents – like adults need God. I spoke at Valley State Prison to about 150 inmates, a number serving life for murder.
