1 Welcome / “Getting old” small talk 

(0:00:00) Start: Small talk about getting old, it’s not pretty!

2 Assignments, working on yourself, Let it happen 

(0:03:01) Work on yourselves. It’s interesting there’s another self. 

(0:07:21) One assignment recently: Let it happen to your ego. 

(0:08:03) Man says someone suspected him of stealing money out of a car he worked on… 

(0:09:29) JLP story: Somebody freaking out. Calm down. “This is different, Jesse!” They couldn’t hear the message. All situations are the same. You’re not supposed to overreact. 

(0:10:46) A second man. B-day alone. A drink. Shoulda called Hake! He returned his drink, they messed it up. They didn’t wanna comply — his ego hurt, and felt offended. He stayed with the pain a bit. (0:11:51) JLP: Always watch the stabs that come in us. Man: like the BQ. 

(0:12:40) A third man (Shayan [sp]) family interrupted his silent prayer at night at his house: Please call your mother! (0:14:06) JLP: Crazy someone tryna make you 

3 Jewish young man 

(0:14:55) Fourth man: Devil’s throwing a fit, he feels tense. JLP: Watch it, it’ll disappear. The Devil stops people from walking into rooms. Man says, I’m a control freak. (0:16:28) You’re white, right? I’m half Jewish. No wonder! Jews try to control everything! (Funny moment, Jesse gives air quotes…) (0:17:00) … I know my mom did it, she’s as crazy as I am. (0:17:55) “I was mitzvahed yesterday” … So do you feel different? (0:20:40) Did you recognize him? … If they’re complaining. 

(0:22:25) I’m Christian. Jesus was a Jew. (0:22:47) It’s crazy that they say the Jews killed Jesus! (0:23:47) Why are you mad they killed Jesus? Hassan talks… 

4 Jesus is not dead. 

(0:24:19) JLP: Good news: You don’t have to be mad anymore, because Jesus is not dead! You must die. He’s living in you, and he’s above. Be happy, and thankful. It was meant to be that way. Jesus is not mad, God is not mad. He came to die. That’s what we must do. Die from that old nature. As you’re dying, you’ll discover that he is alive, and in you. He came and died so you can live so you can die, so you can live. 

5 Go through it without turning to things; Communicate with few words 

(0:27:00) Letting it happen, young lady? Yes. Feel the pain inside. And not turn to things. (0:28:50) Communicating with few words, end conversations quicker. Don’t respond.

6 First-timer just walked in… Communicate without agreeing/disagreeing 

(0:33:32) Timothy, just needed to go to church, never heard of us! (0:34:12) JLP: Do you realize what you walked into? (0:34:42) Mimi: I thought it was a cult! Where’s the pulpit, the singers? 

(0:35:13) Learning to communicate without agreement or disagreement? Cheyenne (sp) — my thoughts are fast. The guilt comes about going with the first thought … (0:37:10) It’s harder for young people than old people, because old people are about to die anyway. Young people still want their “ego” things… She’s gonna go home? 

7 Not agreeing/disagreeing in politics 

(0:37:56) Communicate w/o agreeing/disagreeing? Asian man: Politics, it’s all ego. Just a conversation, without arguing which is not even worth it. Two devils fighting… Taking sides is like ownership. Abortion for example. It’s like getting married.  

(0:40:49) JLP: We’ve been taught to live wrong. 

(0:41:24) Young lady sometimes catches it, but slips into thoughts. Communicate with few words? (0:42:05) Hard for women, they go on and on, and the dog starts howling! 

(0:42:25) Man speaks … (0:43:48) JLP: Don’t forget to be present. Practice being present. 

(0:44:04) Anthony, being aware of the ego? Things I enjoy, trying to stop it. Put down for a while. 

8 Affected by family’s opinions. Nervous. Man like his mama.  

(0:45:41) A first-timer, Adrian (sp), from his brother. Opinions of loved ones affect his ego, more than the workplace. Learning not to be so reactive. He seems to break down a bit. He holds value to what they think. Age 33. Nervous? (0:48:08) Outside comfort zone. (0:49:45) Why haven’t you forgiven your mother? His brother’d told him to. (0:50:23) You like being like a woman? If you didn’t have anger, you wouldn’t be afraid to go forgive her. 

(0:53:54) JLP: If you wanna be free… go to your mother: I’ve been hating you all my life. … What’s making you cry? (0:55:12) You are ready…? I barely see my mother. Always fighting — arguing. Don’t argue. Let her argue by herself. 

(0:58:26) How do you see yourself? Individual… He’s Mexican. (0:59:07) Who are you? 

9 Who are you? A shy Christian man speaks 

(1:00:06) Man who just walked in: Who are you? … A man of God. What else? Artist, painter. And what else? Don’t know how to answer that question. Lou Rawls voice … (1:01:41) Did you know you don’t know how to answer it? Christian? Yes. How do you know? What’s that mean? (1:02:28) Shy when it comes to talking. Wanna come up? I’m really shy. What does that mean to be shy? Nervous to be in front of people. Feel judged. 

How can you be a Christian and shy? (1:03:45) Raised on Christian values. Is it hard living shy? Lot of time by myself. Do you wanna overcome being shy? I do, but on His timing. His time is always now. (1:04:58) Don’t ask me to come up there. (1:05:35) What is your mind telling you? I don’t want to be judged. 

(1:06:25) I think it stems from being judged by my mother. Forgave father too? Don’t know him like that. Only met 3-4 times many years ago. Wanna know him? No. So much peace. Don’t want certain things in my life. But you don’t have peace! You’re still miserable! Why do you say you have peace when you don’t? I don’t have negative people like mother and father.  

(1:07:51) How do you feel coming up right now? Do you mind being on-camera? I don’t wanna look at the camera — forget it’s there. He sits back down. The crowd mamas him. 

9B Forgive mother and father 

(1:09:14) If you wanna be free, drop the anger. Face mother. Sorry for resenting you for what you’ve done to me. Suffering only because you’ve not realized that and forgiven her so that God can forgive you. He knows it’s not you. The sin is of the heart. 

(1:10:19) NEVER ask anyone for forgiveness. Admit we’re wrong for judging. Don’t have to be around them. Your father loved you, he just hated your mother. (1:11:21) She’s just crazy, probably ran him off. 

(1:12:02) When you drop the anger, shyness, all that mess, disappears. All thoughts are all lies, all the time. You know about God, but you don’t know Him at all. Perfect peace. Love.

(1:12:54) JLP: Glad you came with these crazy people? Anyone with anger is crazy, stupid, insane, mentally ill, emotionally destroyed. 

10 Agreeing or disagreeing doesn’t matter 

(1:13:56) Bo Derek hair… Agreeing or disagreeing doesn’t matter. (1:15:42) It’s all ego. Opinions are egos. Really don’t know anything. Really don’t care. Really nothing to talk about. 

10B We’re dumb! You are not living your life. 

(1:16:37) JLP: We’re all dumber than we can imagine. It’s not even funny; it’s kinda sad; shut off from the light. But you can come into the Light. Dumb people fighting dumb people about dumb things. Who gonna be mad bc you don’t love me? Taking children away. We hate each other because of color! Why do you care what color somebody is? Why care if somebody likes you or not, or talks about you? If you’re hurting, it’s inside YOU — that means YOU’RE screwed up! 

Thoughts produces thoughts — (1:20:04) My thoughts are not your thoughts. … He’s shy to come up! Yes, Devil. False shyness. It’s an illusion! Fear is an illusion! Fear is not even real! (1:21:18) You are not living your life. Give up this false life. You’re not a sinner. YOU have never done anything wrong. But you walk around feeling guilty! 

(1:22:38) Don’t blame your mama. Her mother did it to her. Forgive so you can be forgiven, and pass love to children. 

11 Children of God do not think 

(1:23:02) Soft-spoken man: Heart racing. Thoughts prevent you from seeing the evil inside you. JLP: Thoughts are the darkness. (1:23:49) When you were a kid you were one with God. … Children of God do not think. Children of Satan think. Children of God know God without having to think about it. 

(1:25:05) He’s been watching. If he’s wrong, why am I triggered? Arguing with you in my head about something. (1:26:31) (JLP: All mothers… the Jewish mothers even worse.) My parents seem nice. My father worshipped my mom. 

(1:28:43) Mimi… Adam and God communicated without words. Never a need to know…. (1:31:07) A free man or woman does not think that he’s not thinking. We are stupid! 

12 Hassan: No winning or losing 

(1:31:37) Hassan: Communicate without agreeing/disagreeing? What is it like? … Majority of the conversation I’ll hold back, but then explode with the old me. Hard to sit there, not have an identity. I don’t always win. I lose toward the end. (1:33:01) JLP: If you learn to do this, there’s no losing or winning. 

13 Does your husband make you angry? BQ… 

(1:34:33) Does your husband make you angry? In true honesty, yes. I tune him out. If he goes on a rant. I feel like I need to make a point: You’re wrong. (1:36:58) JLP: If he’s acting out, look at him acting out. You’ll be fine.

14 I was a bad father 

(1:38:25) Another man answers the BQ… If it’s somebody in my life, I care. Why? He speaks on how his family came about. “I didn’t know any better.” His sons are here! (1:42:09) How do you feel about how your younger son is feeling? “She was beautiful and hot. Hormones took over.” When we separated, they stayed with Mom. I was a bad guy. “Listen, your mom hates me. Now you have to be the man and go through what I did.” 

It’s their mom, so I can’t turn my back on her. (1:45:13) Why not? She always has problems with money. So I help her. I stopped now. You’re helping the Devil, man! Let her suffer! Really. If she doesn’t pay her bills. That’s on her. 

15 … JLP on BQ: Do not protect the ego. 

(1:47:15) Young man answers the BQ… if somebody smacks me, I’m judging and upset 

(1:48:15) JLP: To hell with how other people treat you (spiritually, not physically). Let the ego die. Don’t even think about how people treat you. It’s not important. It’s not happening to you. It’s happening to the false self. Gang signs? Call ICE! Let whatever will happen happen. If you feel something, it means something is wrong with you! 

(1:52:00) Shayan (sp) the mind scheming… do nothing. Don’t do it. And you’ll be saved from it. Your mind will try to make you fight. Don’t… It’s not happening to you. 

(1:53:39) Young lady — hard to let it pass. Know it’s not me taking this pain. Letting the Light take over. It won’t help you unless you 100-percent surrender. 

(1:55:57) Anthony — don’t think about the emerging person… (1:57:07) …Don’t have an illusion about how close you are to disappearing. You’ll fall apart. The Devil will say, You thought you had it! It’s not working! God is not about thoughts. All of your thoughts are not from God.

(2:00:01) Closing encouragement — JLP: You have all power and authority… you must die. Watch the thoughts. God is with us. (2:03:54) Just say I wanna be different. Not with ideas of what that is…
