(0:16:08) – JLP: No more what-ifs… One thing to point out … Catch the first thought, and stop responding. Never go with the second thought.

(0:19:55) JLP: Examples… first thought, stop there. Meet with the boss on Monday. Saw you on TV, you robbed a bank! (0:22:11) You have to be aware… slut dancing at Club 21. No more thoughts about it. The enemy will make you do things to set yourself up, to destroy yourself. (0:24:30) If you don’t go beyond the first thought, you won’t assume how the next will go.
(0:25:36) Assignment this week: Catch the first thought and stop with it. Go on a trip this week? Stop going with the second thought. Let the first thought pass.
06 – Feeling heat, but caught it.
(0:26:13) – A lady gives an example, feeling heat when someone mentioned something to her. (0:27:07) The heat was gone. (0:27:33) JLP: Darkness wants to conversate with you. (0:27:46) Why Jesus didn’t make it clearer? Or maybe he did… (0:28:22) Another thing. You’ll never judge again. The real you has never judged anyone.

(0:30:33) Nick: I love ‘em. If you didn’t you wouldn’t go with them.
07 – My dad was worried about me, thinking the worst. Forgiveness, Prayer
(0:31:10) – Went to home country, saw dad after 12 years. I don’t talk to him often, call him every three years… “I was worried about you,” always, maybe you’re dead, gay, ICE, in Mexico selling drugs… I was working. I noticed he was suffering, always thinking the worst scenario. (0:32:40) JLP: Thoughts will do that. They’ll say something good will happen IF (if and only if) you do this… Gym plan… Catch the thoughts, stop with the first one.
(0:33:43) Forgave his 85yo dad, he acts like a kid. Mom passed away. Leave him in his hell. Understand he can’t see. And don’t judge him. Beauty: Can’t do anything about anyone else’s life. (0:34:40) Honor your father and mother: Don’t resent him. He just can’t see. Man feels lighter, more manly or something? More myself.
(0:36:03) Not doing the Silent Prayer because I’m not disciplined. What does that mean? (0:36:30) A good example. Just say, I don’t do it. The thoughts give you reasons why you don’t do it. Don’t go with the thoughts. Do it.
(0:37:05) JLP: Stop going with the second thought! I’m black and slow!
08 – Catch the thought: no emotional pain
(0:37:32) – Man (Andrew?) asks about catching the thought… (0:38:22) Catching the thought is BEFORE you feel the pain! You feel pain because you didn’t catch the thought. Practice not going with them, you’ll catch them, and no pain.
(0:39:14) JLP: I realized… (0:40:30) It’s like a radio, there’s a little delay… Andrew… — there’s no feeling in just catching it. (0:41:12) I’m excited b/c I just didn’t know!
09 – Slow your roll! You’ll lose interest in the world, even your marriage
(0:41:26) – Doug: Good assignment. I’m distracted by things happening. I have to slow way down. (0:41:58) JLP: Slow your roll! The Holy Spirit will take over your life. Don’t be in a hurry.
(0:42:47) JLP: You will lose interest in the world, in a lot of things, including your marriage, sorry to tell you. No one made you weak. You made yourself weak.
10 – Seeing things the first time. Matthew 15: 17, Jesus on clean and unclean
(0:44:04) – Randy… The old me would blow up, be emotional. I’d see a sign for the first time. “Oh, that’s new!” (0:45:03) JLP: Hold that thought. It’s just a thought! “A mind is a terrible thing to waste.” It’s a terrible thing to hold onto. Do the opposite.
Randy reading the Bible with daughter, book of Matthew. JLP: You can read the Bible in church! (0:45:52) Matt 15: 17, the parable of clean and unclean… Slow on the uptake? What goes into the mouth… what comes out of the mouth comes from the heart, evil things makes someone unclean. Eating with unwashed hands…
(0:47:24) JLP: What Jesus was speaking about, the churches today always make it physical. Man’s heart is wicked. Ladies hearts are wicked. Biblical assignment, response is physical. Christ said, Worship in spirit and truth. Stay present.
11 – Presenting yourself differently from how you really are
(0:48:25) – Presenting yourself one way when you’re another way… Doug doesn’t remember (0:48:51) Hake remembers
(0:49:23) Asking Randy… JLP: Loving husband, family man, such a nice person. Randy: When they start dating. It was painful
(0:50:46) JLP: Everyone presents themselves one way on the outside, but hide what they really are on the inside. You will be you. Even while at work. You won’t have to put on a phony sales rep attitude at work even!
12 – Negative thoughts. Ego vs Ego. Egos in the workplace.
(0:51:38) – JLP: It’s just a thought! Young man says: Examine your thoughts? Always negative! (0:52:19) Ego always comes up with everyone! Ego vs ego. Competition.
(0:53:52) JLP again: It’s just a thought! You’ll wanna smack yourself. Now you’ll see yourself as they roll by. Normally
(0:54:29) Lady who looks younger than 50: I wanna be great, the best. Work situation, man said something that hurt my ego for a second. I’d keep saying, I’m gonna do it perfect this time… They’re smart. Doctors, etc. Egos there. Not gonna try to do anything. (0:56:52) JLP: Don’t try to be or do anything, just do it. Stay with it.
13 – Breaking out of family’s conditioning: “I’ve never been me.”
(0:57:05) – Another lady: Always been really close with my family. Had to sit and challenge my thoughts, first time in my life. I never challenged that my thoughts and feelings weren’t real. Lifelong conditioning, how I was raised. Family couldn’t follow me on this, defaulted to fear. Caused a rift. Maybe I’ve never been me. (0:58:24) JLP: Not one human being on the planet ever been themselves. Your family don’t love you! And you don’t love them. But now you WILL, with the REAL love. Christ: I came not to unite, but divide.
(0:59:29) … What? “I think that may be true.” No, it IS true. I’m still me, different ideas… It means they never loved you. If you’re concerned what they think and feel, you don’t love them either. It’s about you, what’s happening in here, inside. You’ll be fine with them, but they won’t be fine with you — when in reality, they’re not fine with themselves. “If you’d brought rice [laughter], instead of the white man’s salad…”

14 – Car crash. Young person with depression.
(1:02:10) – Alex: I crashed yesterday. “Did you burn?” Car crash! I hit a guy. He made it seem like he was letting me off. I already reported it. Last time they stole my truck, and I didn’t have full coverage. (1:03:51) JLP: He did you a favor! You hit someone from behind, you’re automatically guilty.
(1:05:24) My daughter, her friend, 11, has depression. Told her, stay in the present.

(1:08:04) – Biblical Question? Idk, says Southern gal… Things went left! Roommate is VERY late on rent! Throw him out! I have another tenant for you!
17 – Biblical Question: What is courage? Stop fighting. Give up illusions.
(1:12:25) – Lady, the b-day gal, used to wave a flag in Huntington Beach, CA, trying to get Gavin Newsom out of office! Always loaded up ready to fight when attacked! (1:13:25) JLP: Don’t need to fight! You’ll be amazed. Stop fighting.
(1:13:48) Dolores: When I can shake in my boots? (1:15:11) JLP: Let it die… Dolores… (1:16:02) JLP: Never had anything to give up! Reputation, friends, family, morals and values, to give up? They’re all an illusion! Losing illusions! Giving up illusions about things! You’re gaining!
(1:17:15) Dolores — How’s your situation going? (1:18:09) “Leave well enough alone.” (1:18:45) JLP: Stop going with the first thought. Like the roommate situation! The way out is right there. Lay your weapons down. (1:19:21) JLP: You’re angry, mean, nasty, because you want to be, miserable! You don’t have to be you anymore. (1:19:41) JLP to Dolores: That situation, so many going through the same thing. Don’t worry, it’ll work itself out!

(1:22:32) Man: Courage, when you’re blind, wanna play God, do justice for yourself. Eve’s “courage” was cowardly, to be God.
19 – Devil sending her men. JLP’s stalker story.
(1:23:06) – Dolores’ daughter… I’m doing. Suffer and die! … went with second thought… (1:24:23) JLP: Practice staying present. I didn’t know I’d get past being lonely! Stay present. Only presence can do it for you. Dating, the Devil gonna send you the kind you like! Your trauma! JLP: I even had a lady stalking me! (1:25:55) There was an abandoned car! She moved into it!
20 – BQ… “I’m not perfect”? You are perfect. Don’t wanna go to family party…
(1:27:22) – Man answers BQ: Being courageous? Don’t really need it, do what you do. “I’m not perfect.” Don’t even say that, you are perfect. You just don’t know it. … Don’t wanna go to family party.

21 – JLP on BQ: Let the false self die.
(1:36:32) – JLP: When you’re thinking things, those thoughts are inside you — those are YOUR thoughts. When you stop thinking it, the issue is over. Stop blaming anyone for the way you think and th way you feel. It’s just a thought.
(1:37:10) JLP: To add to what you’ve said: Courage is when you’re willing to die, let the false self die. It is just a word. A lot of people don’t die from this. (1:38:11) Die from the old nature — Courage is not when you’re yelling at somebody, being “brave,” that’s ego. When you’re willing to die from that old nature. A lot of people don’t make it. Fear or something takes them off it! A man, a woman, a friend… Go all the way. You will see.
(1:39:06) It’s not you crying, you have no reason to cry. Whatever it’s saying, don’t call it you, even if you have to say it, “That’s not me.” Say it, and leave it alone.
(1:39:32) You wanna be different. But don’t say what the difference is. Let the Spirit of Truth show you real difference. But you say it and create another false identity.

22 – Courage, Catching the first thought. Life will happen naturally.
(1:40:53) – Assignment — wait, Andrew… on courage and the first thought (1:43:10) JLP: Whenever the thought tells you it’s from God, dump that fast! Life will happen naturally!

(1:44:38) JLP Another aspect of courage: Admit you’re evil, you’re wrong.
(1:45:45) To catch the first thought. Become a thought watcher.
